Gesail is a sheep farm of 690 acres near Dinas Mawddwy. Our land contains a mountain with a lake at the summit (the highest in Wales), woodland, many streams and waterfalls, walks, climbs, rare birds and wildlife. You must drive through a ford to get to the house which is next to a little wood with streams, ferns and moss - enchanting for everyone. The farm is managed on traditional lines by the local farmer and his family.
Gesail is safe and exciting for children, who can build dams, make camps and tree houses etc (within reason!) or play games and cook sausages by the fire and it offers a perfect base from which to explore Snowdonia and its natural wonders. By popular request there is no TV or phone. Mobiles work near the local pub.
The large Barn, romantically dramatic, sleeps 2 - 4. The House, ancient and cosy, sleeps 6 and is set in a small wood with pools and waterfalls. Together they are perfect for two or three families sleeping 8 - 10 people, or they can be rented separately.
